Dr. Kohani has tremendous experience in the field of Integrative Medicine. After graduating from Harvard Medical School, she served as a resident in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University, then studied with renowned natural medicine expert Dr. Andrew Weil for six years at the University of Arizona in Tucson during her fellowship in Integrative Medicine.
Now in private practice in San Diego and La Jolla, CA, Dr. Kohani is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Integrative Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American College of Physician and is a Voluntary Associate Professor of Medicine, teaching at UCSD School of Medicine.
Dr. Kohani combines the best of conventional and holistic modalities to achieve optimum health. As she explains, "Integrative Medicine is the practice of medicine that focuses on the whole person. Roya Kohani M.D., FACP is a Voluntary Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCSD School of Medicine. She is a former attending physician at Scripps Clinic Green Hospital and at UCSD Thornton Hospital in La Jolla. Dr. Kohani spent six years training and working with Dr. Andrew Weil in Arizona and is Board Certified in Integrative Medicine. She is now in private practice in La Jolla and San Diego.

Dr. Kohani is formerly on the Board of Directors of the Harvard Club of San Diego and continues to be an active faculty at the UCSD School of Medicine teaching young medical students in their medical training. She has been interviewed by local media and has given numerous lectures at local Libraries, and schools about natual medicine, natural healing and the importance of healthy nutrition.
